Ever since we were children, we have read about countless activists in our textbooks—from Martin Luther King Jr., to Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, etc. These activists fought for us—for our country’s freedom, morals, and equality. They are to thank for almost every single social and political change we have seen in our nation, and that is what they wanted us to understand: That we must fight, just like they did, and how it is too dangerous not to.
